Beau Stanton, “Polychromasia” opening March 5, 2015 at Library at the Hudson Hotel. Curated by Art Nerd New York’s Lori Zimmer, the exhibition will feature twenty new multiples and two large paintings, inspired by Stanton’s interest in Victorian ephemera, ancient narratives and industrial decline. The multiples, a mix of screen printing and hand detailing, have been pulled in varying sizes on wood, echoing the rich wood paneling in the room. His antiquated color palette and penchant for patterns and ornamentation harmonize with the Library’s luxe English leather sofas, antique rugs and furniture. Polychromasia will be on display throughout the month of March.
